| Introducing Cirrus HD-OCT Software Ver. 4.0 |
| |
Since releasing its first optical coherence tomographer well over a decade ago, Carl Zeiss has constantly invested in and developed OCT technology. In this tradition, Carl Zeiss has released a further software development for the industry leading Cirrus HD-OCT. The new Ver. 4.0 software adds the following functionality:
Macula change analysis with normative data
Using physical landmarks to precisely register to an earlier scan, the macular change analysis shows the change in macular thickness using a thickness difference map. Best of all, the B-scans from both cubes are synchronised so detailed qualitative analysis can be made by co-navigating through both cubes in unison.
Automatic fovea finder
To overcome problems with poor patient fixation and to increase repeatability, Ver. 4.0 automatically locates the fovea and overlays the ETDRS grid. It does this by looking for decreased reflectivity characteristic of the high concentration of photoreceptors in the fovea measurements. This functionality is made possible only by the density of the standard Cirrus HD-OCT cube (512 x 128).
RNFL Guided Progression Analysis (GPA)
Using the same progression alerts as your Humphrey Field Analyser, the GPA software conducts a trend analysis on up to eight registered exams. The software uses three different analyses, each of which are designed to detect focal or diffuse RNFL defects. Precise registration and software-driven placement of the measurement circle ensures high repeatability.
Anterior segment imaging
By introducing two new scan patterns, the Cirrus HD-OCT Ver. 4.0 software enables high resolution scans of the cornea and the angle, including displaying the information in 3D.
Stratus OCT radial lines
Stratus-like radial lines can now be extracted from the cube to enable a more direct comparison to previous Stratus OCT scans.
