NEW Cirrus HD-OCT Enhanced HD Raster Scan
In line with our policy of ongoing development of the Cirrus HD-OCT platform, we are about to release a free upgrade Ver. 4.5. All Cirrus HD-OCT Ver. 4.0 users will get this automatically.

The most exciting advancement with Ver. 4.5 is the addition of the Enhanced HD Raster Scan. To obtain this, the Cirrus HD-OCT rapidly takes 20 line-scans and either distributes them over the 5-Line Raster pattern (ie 4 line-scans per raster position) or all 20 are overlaid on a single line scan through the fovea.

A significant point to note is that the software doesn’t simply average this data. Instead, the scientists at Carl Zeiss have developed a technique called Selective Pixel Profiling™ which evaluates all of the pixels in the dataset in order to construct the best possible image. This has the effect of enhancing anatomical features while reducing image noise. In doing so, this new scan protocol strikes the right balance of producing images with outstanding detail whilst not impacting on patient workflow.

As noted above, this significant advancement comes to Ver. 4.0 users free of charge. For users still with Ver. 3.0, please contact us to learn how to upgrade to Ver. 4.0, thus making the installation of Ver. 4.5 possible.

As a reminder, Ver. 4.0 software gives you:
  • Anterior segment imaging
  • Macular Change Analysis
  • Macular normative data
  • RNFL Guided Progression Analysis (GPA™)
  • Auto-Fovea Finder
  • Multi-slice and Stratus Radial Lines reports
