Cirrus HD-OCT Version 5.0
Cirrus_384x
The Cirrus™ HD-OCT has been continuously updated since it was introduced in 2007. The latest software is Version 5.0 which introduces the following features:

Optic Nerve Head analysis
The new Cirrus HD-OCT™ optic nerve head analysis is generated using the existing Optic Disc 200 x 200 data cube and utilises a new proprietary ZEISS algorithm. Features include:
  • Automatic identification of cup and disk rim.
  • Compensation of disc tilt using the high density data cube. By measuring in the same plane as the optic disc, the resulting numerical data better represents the true anatomy.
  • Disc boundary is defined by the termination of Bruch’s membrane instead of the RPE. This helps to avoid problems defining the disc margin in cases of RPE atrophy.
Enhanced 3D visualisation
The new Cirrus™ HD-OCT Version 5.0 software delivers enhanced performance for 3D visualisation of the OCT cube and also offers additional software tools.

Combined Visual Field/RNFL report
For users of the FORUM™ image management software, Version 5.0 also makes possible a single-page report that features RNFL data from the Cirrus™ HD-OCT and visual field data from the Humphrey Field Analyser (HFA). For this new FORUM™ report, the HFA must also be on the latest software.
