Over the last decade, the IOLMaster has been synonymous with not only precision biometry but also simplifying the whole process of collecting pre-op biometry data. This year, we introduces the latest version, the IOLMaster 500 which features the following:
Twin Technology
With AL and keratometry taken in one measurement, acquisition time is reduced. Combine this with the fact that the interferometer scanning speed has been doubled and you get complete biometry of both eyes in less than one minute.
Automatic measurements
Option of automatic changeover over from one measurement to the next. This does not require even a single “click”.
Assistance with IOL calculation formula selection
Not all formulas are suitable for all eyes. Using the measured axial length, the IOLMaster 500 highlights the appropriate formula for each eye according to the peer-reviewed literature.
Of course, existing advantages are still there such as the composite signal (superior cataract penetration), Haigis-L (post-refractive surgery patients) and IOLMaster-specific lens constants from the ULIB website.
